TWCA COMMENCED WITH ITS REGISTRATION FOR 2009
Why teach chess in schools? “Chess is a means to achieve educational excellence; a teaching tool identified by the principle of ‘learning to think’; an alternative for the development of thinking skills and processes; an opportunity for the development of character; and finally a way through which the virtuous habits and patterns of character help to integrate students in the public sphere of their adult lives and in particular in the professional world”
The Weekend Chess Academy was established in January 2007 and offers chess lessons to all interested.
