Nicola Tjaronda, the National Women's Champion of Namibia won the u16 age group with 6.5/7 and got a Gold medal for her excellent performance. In second place came Mutago Hochobeb with 6.5/7 and in third was Vitjiraje Uranga with 5.5/7.

In the under 14 section we had Rodney Swartbooi who performed excellent having only attended a couple of lessons this year at TWCA. He scored 4.5/7. This is more than enough for any chess coach for a first tournament. His age group compatriot Kaujazema Hindjou only managed 2.5/7 for his first attempt. Kaujazema only started at TWCA two weeks before the event. Well done fellows you scored some points. We are sure you will perform great in 2015.

Dante Beukes
Dante Beukes was the clear favourite of the under 12 section and he certainly delivered with a perfect score of 7/7 dominated this section and took home a gold medal for his excellent performance. He was followed by Joseph Goabeb in second place and Kevin Gurirab in 3rd position.

We had another star in the under 10 age group. Benjamin Hooker also participated for his first time in a national Junior Chess event and scored an excellent 5/7. His composure and performance was great for such a young boy. He also joined TWCA in January this year and what a year it was for him. Well Done!

Our under 8 star was Tjiueza Hindjou who could only score 3/7. Once again this young boy like his elder brother only had two lessons at TWCA. He will be back with more to show. A good result from him. Well done!
